The General Inspectorate of Social Security (“Inspection Générale de la Sécurité Sociale”) has published the new social parameters, valid as of 1 January 2018.
The main changes relate to the minimum and maximum pension thresholds for pensions newly allocated in 2018, and the applicable monetary values for official deeds provided within the context of long-term care insurance. This means that all pensions and income (accident insurance) have been readjusted by 0.3% as of 1 January 2018, in accordance with article 225bis of the Luxembourg Social Security Code.
The minimum monthly social wage remains unchanged, in other words:
- 1,998.59.- EUR gross for an unqualified employee
- 2,398.30.-EUR gross for a qualified employee
