According to a press release issued by Luxembourg’s Employers’ Union (Union des entreprises luxembourgeoises, UEL) on 18 December 2020, the Employers' Mutual Insurance Scheme (Mutualité des Employeurs) will reimburse the full amount (100% instead of 80%) for periods during which someone is unable to work because they are quarantining or self-isolating when they have been ordered to do so by the Director of Public Health (Directeur de la santé) or his representative.

This measure was introduced at the beginning of 2021 and will be applied retroactively from 1 July 2020.

The UEL has said that more detailed information should be sent to all businesses soon.
