Coronavirus:

  • Extension of leave for family reasons until 18 December 2021

The Law of 18 October 2021[1] on the measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic was published in Mémorial A no. 732 on 18 October 2021 and came into force on 19 October 2021.

In particular, the Law stipulates that the extraordinary family leave scheme introduced within the context of the Covid-19 pandemic (see in particular our Newsflash of 6 April 2021), has been extended up to and including 18 December 2021.

  • Option to enter into an apprenticeship contract until 30 November 2021

The Law of 15 October 2021 introducing a temporary exemption to the deadline for entering into apprenticeship contracts stipulated in article L. 111-3, paragraph 4, of the Labour Code was published in Mémorial A no. 731 on 18 October 2021 and came into force on 22 October 2021.

The Law stipulates that the 1 November deadline beyond which it is no longer possible to enter into an apprenticeship contract has been extended until 30 November for 2021, as an exemption to article L. 111-3 (4) of the Labour Code.
