In a press release issued on 5 March 2021, the Ministry of Finance announced that the amicable agreement of 19 May 2020 between Belgium and Luxembourg on tax for telework of cross-border workers has been extended until 30 June 2021.

As a reminder, this agreement stipulates that the days on which cross-border workers need to work from home due to the measures taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic are not taken into account to calculate the tolerance threshold of 24 days applicable for the purposes of tax (see in particular our Newsflash of 20 May 2020.)
